Kathy Kreis
Wellness Director,
Personal Trainer, RN

I have been a personal trainer in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Throughout my past, I have continuously added more certifications and qualifications to my resume. I began my career training clients ranging in age from 10 to 80. I have worked with cardiac rehab patients as well as elite athletes looking to fine tune their performance. I have designed cross training programs for many athletes in a variety of sports, including: high school volleyball, figure skating, golf, basketball, and even triathletes! Through my extensive Pilates training with the PMA, I also have a vast knowledge base for designing core and postural programs for all ages.

My areas of expertise are apparent in my willingness to provide the most comprehensive training and coaching to each and every client I work with. I rely on my education and experience as a certified Diabetes Educator, a certified Nutrition Consultant, and a Registered Nurse. In addition, I have many years of management experience, including managing an All Women’s Fitness Center.

Chris Kacyon
Certified Exercise Physiologist

I am currently a Professor in the Department of Health and Fitness Science at Wake Technical Community College, NC. My primary curriculum focus is in Exercise Science, Fitness Testing, Weight Training, and Exercise Prescription for Healthy and Special Populations. In addition to teaching, I am the Exercise Physiologist for The Everyday Athlete Matters and a Fitness Specialist at Duke Medical Centers Diet and Fitness Center. Previous to this, I received a graduate degree in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. My graduate thesis detailed the beneficial and detrimental effects of interval training in overweight individuals and has been presented in regional/national conferences across the US. Prior to this, I worked as a Bariatric Physician Specialist at the obesity clinic in Lancaster General Hospital, Pennsylvania. This was when working with the overweight/obese population became a primary passion of mine. I since have devoted my research to finding the most efficient and effective ways to achieve healthy weight management.

Beverly Moore
Personal Trainer

I have been in the fitness industry for over 11 years. I first received my Group Exercise and Kickboxing Certifications. Realizing how much I loved to help others achieve their fitness goals, I decided to add Personal Trainer to my list of Certifications. I have been training for over 9 years and couldn’t imagine another career that would bring me more pleasure.

My experience is varied. I have competed in 2 fitness competitions, and several local triathlons and 5K races, and plan to compete in my first Half Ironman Triathlon in November, 2010. I have raced motocross since 1996, and now as a trainer, understand more the importance for endurance, balance and core strength in the sport. I have been teaching ‘boxing on the bag’ for 7 years and most recently I added TRX to my list of certifications and have to say that it is, by far, one of the most functional pieces of equipment that I have ever used. I am so excited about the future of TRX.

As your trainer I would work with you the best way I know how to help you reach your fitness goals. My goal is to help you find what challenges you, what motivates you and what pushes you to be the best you can be! Oh, and share a few laughs along the way!

Athletics has played an important role for both me and my family. I excelled throughout high school and college, playing softball & volleyball and competing on a national level in cheerleading and track & field. During my 3 years as a sprinter on the Indoor & Outdoor Track and Field teams for a Division III college, I accepted the MVP award each year, was All-Conference and All-American academically, and ranked 13th nationally in the 100m dash and 10th in the 55m dash. I’m proud to say my records still haven’t been broken! I was so motivated by athletics that I majored in Physical Education vowing to teach children the importance of staying active and healthy in life.

After having my children, I lost over 30 pounds by eating right and staying active. I owe every ounce of confidence I possess to the experiences I’ve had in athletics. I know how awesome it feels when I achieve a goal I have set for myself and I want to share that with anyone who will let me. With so many years experience and specialty training, I have found my niche in training clients through circuit or boot camp style sessions.  I love to teach Les Mills BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyAttack & RPM. I'm also a Level 1 Battling Ropes Coach & TRX trainer.

My motto is - if I can do, so can you!! Even if that means we take baby steps. I will motivate and stand by my clients’ side in order to push them to the level that they desire so they are truly proud of themselves!

Last year I participated in the ClubWorx New Year, New You Transformation Challenge. I loved working out, but I needed someone to hold me accountable and help me achieve my goals.  I welcomed the challenge, and excelled. I was finally able to combine my love for working out with my new knowledge of nutrition—and achieve success. This challenge sparked something new - the desire to help others achieve their own fitness goals.  Before the challenge ended, I made the decision to become a personal trainer and lead my own group in the challenge the next year. I look forward to sharing my tips and helping my clients achieve their own success.

Maddie Grace
NASM™ Certified Personal Trainer

My name is Magdalena Grace, but most people know me as Maddie.  I have been in love with “movement” for all my life as far back as I can remember, and from what I'm told, even before that!

As a young teenager I became increasingly aware of how many people struggle with their self-worth in respect to their appearance.  I also began to understand that people often put an emphasis on appearance above genuine health.  I determined that I wanted to do something to change that for as many people as I can, so I decided to become a personal trainer and am blessed to have found my “calling” at such a young age.  I have discovered that faith doesn't make things easy, yet it does make all things possible!

Along my journey I have accomplished various personal fitness-related goals, like biking up one of the highest summits in the Eastern US at 15 years old, after training daily for over 2 years to accomplish that dream.  I have enjoyed hiking most of my life and completed one of the most difficult hikes in the Appalachian Mountain Trail system with my family at 14 years old, after 5 years of working towards that goal.  Summiting continues to be a passion of mine.  Strength training is also something I have become quite passionate about, yet I understand that balance is needed in the pursuit of fitness for optimal health to be achieved.

Additionally, I realize the importance of remaining teachable and continuing my education in order to provide the most trustworthy guidance possible.  Therefore I am committed to the pursuit of additional specialty certifications so I can maintain a point of expertise in developing programs that are the best for my clients.  Practice doesn't in fact make perfect, it makes permanence, so it's vital to practice perfectly.

Recognizing that every individual is unique in their body chemistry, their personality and their goals, I am committed to getting to know you and listening to you; as I develop programs for each client's individual needs while encouraging you to achieve them, no matter what it takes!

I am dedicated to “complete” health, body, mind and spirit, and take great joy in helping others achieve their fitness goals!  I believe that a healthy lifestyle should indeed be a priority, but doesn't need to be a chore.  Working out can be, and should be, a blast!  We will have a great time working together to accomplish your fitness goals and change your life for the better, forever!

Personal Mission Statement:  To always maintain an attitude of gratitude; and to give, humbly and sincerely.  It's what I desire to do best and commit to learning to do better each and every day.
