Types of clients our dietitian can work with

A registered dietitian can help with diseases like:

  • PCOS
  • Endometriosis
  • Hormone imbalances
  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • and more!

We have extensive education in all of these conditions and will help you form a sustainable diet to fit your needs.

A registered dietitian can help with managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus through teaching practices like:

  • Meal planning
  • Blood sugar balancing
  • Label reading
  • Carbohydrate counting
  • & more!

Registered dietitians have extensive education in diabetes and will help you manage your disease in a sustainable way!

A registered dietitian knows that heart conditions, blood pressure, and high cholesterol are hard to manage alone, so they will guide you through a diet plan that is easy to sustain, while explaining everything every step of the way. Though medication is helpful, the food you are eating can make a huge impact on bettering  your disease state!

Whether it is just some high labs, or your kidney disease has progressed and you are on dialysis, a registered dietitian knows exactly how to help you manage your diet to receive better lab results. By explaining everything to you and working side-by-side, your RD will help you successfully manage your kidney disease!

There are WAY too many food products in the world and registered dietitians understand this can get confusing. A registered dietitian can help you manage this major stress by teaching you:

  • How to structure your meals
  • How to make a grocery list
  • How to meal prep
  • Fun recipes
  • Cooking tips
  • & more!

A dietitian can help you achieve food freedom by helping you manage major stressors like:

  • Eating disorders
  • Food anxiety
  • Food aversions
  • Picky eating
  • Binge-eating
  • Emotional Eating
  • & more!

Registered dietitians are trained to help manage the emotional side of eating through counseling as well as teaching sustainable practices that make the eating experience more rewarding.

A registered dietitian does not want you to obsess over food and losing weight. By forming small habits and working together, we can help you feel better about food and your body without sacrificing your favorite foods, and without any restrictive diets. Our main goal is to have you feeling like your happiest and best self!

A registered dietitian knows that sometimes the main concern you are facing is gaining weight and muscle, and getting to the gym is only half of the battle. By working with a dietitian, you can learn ways to gain weight and muscle that will stay on, will not sacrifice your health, and that will not have you feeling full and sluggish all the time.

A registered dietitian can help you through gut and digestive issues like:

  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Chron’s disease
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • GERD
  • Small intestinal bacteria overgrowth (SIBO)
  • Bloating & gas
  • Diverticulitis & diverticulosis
  • & more!

Your RD knows that when your gut is off, your whole day is off. By going into the nitty-gritty of your specific issues, your RD will work with you to get your gut in shape in no time.

A registered dietitian can help you manage various blood imbalances like:

  • Low or high white count
  • Low or high B12
  • Low or high iron
  • Low or high potassium
  • Low or high sodium
  • & more!

Your RD understands that it can be confusing figuring out what needs added and what needs taken away from your diet, and that is why they want to educate and work with you to help you succeed!

A registered dietitian can help you navigate and plan specific diets and disease as they fit your needs such as:

  • Celiac disease
  • PKU
  • Hashimoto’s
  • Food allergies
  • Food intolerances
  • Hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism
  • Vegan/ Vegetarian

It is important to work with an RD so you can ensure you are still consuming all of the nutrients your body needs while cutting out the things that you need!

A registered dietitian can help you plan a diet specifically for diseases such as:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Broken bones
  • Arthritis
  • Osteopenia
  • Brittle bone disease
  • & more

An RD understands that going to the gym is an important part of bone health, and when coupled with a proper diet, your ability to improve your bone health increases substantially.

Hi ClubWorx members! My name is Mel and I will be your new Registered Dietitian. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania with my Master’s in nutrition science, became a board-certified RD, and got my licensure in the state of North Carolina. At the club I will be hosting nutrition focused events and workshops, working with you one-on-one, and answering any questions you might have. My favorite workout class I have taken so far is N10C, and I enjoy lifting, hiking, and playing tennis. Aside from fitness and nutrition, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and baking. My favorite snack is toast with peanut butter and chia seeds, I seriously eat it every day. I love what I do because proper nutrition, along with other self-care habits, has the power to transform your life and make you feel better than you ever have before. I cannot wait to share my abundance of nutrition knowledge and expertise with you all!
