Swim School FAQ

When does ClubWorx offer swim lessons, and what level should my child be in?
ClubWorx offers swim lessons year round granted there is enough interest to fill a class. We run each session on a monthly basis that is twice a week for four weeks. We offer most levels on a regular basis during the winter months. All levels are offered during our summer swim program. Please click here for level descriptions.

Which days of the week are classes offered and when are make ups?
During the months of May, June, July and August, ClubWorx will hold all levels of lessons 3 days per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays. During September to April, ClubWorx will hold all levels of lessons 2 days per week on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Make ups are not offered if your child misses their scheduled lesson. There are no makeups May-Aug. If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather Sept-April, time will be added to the remaining classes to make up the time missed. Please see the Swim School main page for times.

What is the class size?
All classes run a 5:1 ratio so each child has ample time in the water and for safety measures.

How do I sign up and how do I know where to place my child?
The list of swim school class descriptions, days and times are available here. You can register online here or you may contact our program director below and discuss what lessons and nights are available. Our program director will also go over level criteria so you feel comfortable as to where you place your child.

How much do lessons cost?
The member rate is $88 per session and non-members pay $120.

When can my child move to the next level?
Through our swim school your child will advance as soon as they can pass all the criteria for each level. The instructors will give constant feedback as the lessons progress.

Who are the instructors?
Much like you, our instructors are parents/teachers themselves so you can feel at ease about the instructor assigned to your child's class. Many of them swam competitively and they have years of experience in the water. All instructors are Lifeguard and CPR certified. Our program director can give you more detailed description of your child's instructor and as always will place your child based on their needs and personality with a little help from you!

Do you offer private swim lessons?
Yes, if your schedule does not permit your child to attend either group session, private lessons are offered that can be arranged with and instructor on your own time. This is great for the the student that would like more instruction than in a group atmosphere, someone practicing for a swim team or any adults for that matter! You can arrange to speak with an instructor about your family's personal needs by contacting our program director below. See more information on private and semi-private lessons here. Participants must be at approximately the same level of ability to participate in a semi-private lesson.
