Yoga Philosophy: Active Practice for Well-Being
Have you ever wondered what your yoga teachers mean when they say, “Honor your practice both on and off the mat?”. Or have you asked yourself why it feels so good to let go of expectations and just focus on the breath and the present moment?
Join Shwetha Ramanathan for this 2 hour workshop as she guides you on how to adopt yoga philosophy as an active practice for your well-being and of those around you. We will discuss:
- Principles of Yoga Philosophy
- The 8-Limb Method and The 4 Paths of Yoga
- Embodiment of Yoga Philosophy in Postures & Meditation
- Integrating Yoga Philosophy in Daily Routine
Allow this practice to bring empowerment, growth, and clarity that can enhance
your everyday experiences. You will share, move, meditate, and feel ready to embrace a practice that can positively influence all areas of your life.

Self Stretch & Massage Workshop
We all know that we need to stretch, but knowing what, when, and how can be a huge challenge when trying to implement a regular self-care program. This workshop will focus on head to toe many different styles of self stretching, and recovery techniques that you can put in your toolbox to pull out at any point in time. Whether it’s manual techniques, tools, or maneuvers, you’ll leave this workshop feeling not only empowered but looser, more limber and freer. Having freedom in our body not only aides in recovery, but helps you get more out of your workout.
While there will be some movement, the workshop will primarily focus on tools that you can easily implement in a variety of settings. Well, many variations and accommodations and modifications will be available. It is strongly encouraged that you be able to get up and down from the floor as many activities take place on a mat.
